They can also help medical students to understand multidisciplinary working and the breadth of professional skills. A better understanding of pharmacology and drug therapeutics is certainly a solid foundation, where to develop prescribing skills. It has been suggested that individuals with specialist training in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics (CPT) should, ideally, lead its education within undergraduate medical programs.
